1. Thermic Oil

This is basically used to carry heat from a given location to another, after being preheated by any method able to do it, whether if it is a burner, or resistance, etc.

2. Quenching Oil

High-quality oils developed forheat treatment of ferrous metals in a wide variety of quenching operations. They are formulated to provide deep and uniform hardening with minimum distortion and cracking for a smooth surface finish.

Benefits

Facilitates hardening of steel by controlling heat transfer during
quenching.
It enhances wetting of steel during quenching to minimize the
formation of undesirable thermal and transformational gradients
which may lead to increased distortion and cracking.
